What a day! Matthew and I had our first day of spring break today. We spent it doing odd jobs around the house, having lunch with a friend (my friend) and then enjoying a frozen yogurt. When Jeff and Maddie got home, Jeff asked the kids if they wanted to go in the back yards and start learning how to ride their bikes. Maddie couldn't say yes fast enough. Matthew wasn't as eager. He said, "I don't really want to, but I'll do it." We pumped up the tires of the hand-me-down bikes we've collected and headed to the back yard (with the freshly cut grass). We couldn't believe how quckly they got the hang of it! Within 15 minutes we were heading to the cul-de-sac! They were both unbelievable - it was such an exhilerating experience!! Matthew even loved it!! They were on their own riding circles around the cul-de-sac... they were even able to get started by themselves sometimes! We were ALL so excited!!
