It was another great day!!
We had breakfast here (more homemade granola, fresh fruit and yogurt) and then headed to the Everglades for our airboat tour. We had a blast!! We used a different company this time (accidentally), but the captain was still good (not quite Captain Darryl, but good). He gave us an exciting ride with sharp turns and spins, and he introduced us to the colony of raccoons that lives there. It was sooo cool! They feed the raccoons, so they're pretty spoiled and come right up to the captains. Jimmie and Richard really enjoyed it... something else they can mark off their bucket list.
On the way back to Bonita, we drove through Naples and stopped at a gourmet burger place we read about on Trip Advisor. It was AWESOME. Brooks Burgers - and they make their own fresh potato chips. Delicious!
When we got back, the weather was beautiful, so we changed clothes and jumped in the water. The tide was out and we wandered far enough out to find a sand bar -- and sand dollars galore!! We also found more star fish, but we were especially excited about the sand dollars. You're not allowed to do live shelling here, so we didn't keep any, but it was sooo tempting!! They were so beautiful and exciting to find!
We stayed in the water so long that we worked up an appetite, so we went to Enzo's for pizza. It was even better tonight than it was last week when we had it! Delicious! I love Trip Advisor!!!
We ended the night with finishing our Phase 10 game. I came from behind and WON!!! Shocking! We all had so much fun... it's a great game.
The downside right now is poor Matthew's legs... they've broken out again. Luckily, we have his medicine, but it's so frustrating! He handles is so well, but they REALLY itch. It's not sunscreen, it's not soap, so we think it must be the heat and the salt. All we can do is treat it and keep it moisturized. *sigh*
