Welcome!!
- The Plunks
- Hi! We are the Plunks: Jennifer, Jeff, Matthew and Maddie! Welcome to our blog. I started this blog to chronicle our service dog adventure, but it has evolved into a place for me to jot down my thoughts... about autism, parenting, family, working, but mostly about celebrating life and the God who gifted us with it. Enjoy the ride!

Mother's Day with "The Midtown Men"
Those of you who know us well know what HUGE "Jersey Boys" fans we are... all four of us PLUS my mom. Well, back in the fall, we saw that "The Midtown Men" were coming the FOX Theater in April. "The Midtown Men" are the four guys that were the original cast of "Jersey Boys" on Broadway. We bought tickets early and decided to surprise Gram for Mother's Day.
We were all soooo excited - even the kids! They love music from "Jersey Boys" and other 'oldies but goodies' too. We kept the secret from Gram all the way up until we sat down in the seats, when the woman beside her asked if she liked sixties music, and then we spilled the beans - she was soooo excited! It was such a fun surprise! Matthew ended up not going because he went to the the 6th grade retreat with church. He hated to miss it, but we gave him the choice. The retreat was totally worth it. ;-) We had so much fun singing along, and those guys put on an INCREDIBLE show!!! Maddie had so much fun singing along with us... it was truly awesome. Every now and then one of those truly awesome gifts lands in your lap... it was fun to be able to give Mom something I knew she would love and enjoy and make priceless memories!! It was an amazing evening all the way around - starting with dinner AND dessert and Antico Pizza (mom's first time!), followed with valet parking and Gram's first trip to the Alliance Theater down town! Oh, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra played along -- talk about phenomenal?! Wow!! We were only sorry that Matthew had to miss it.
