Today at school, we started our morning "group" time with the question, "What is the best birthday present you've ever gotten?" We heard everything from iphones to computer games to toys. Matthew is with us (in my classroom) for this part of the day, so I was very curious what his answer would be. Some book or ... I didn't know. Here is what he said:
"Well, the best birthday present I'VE ever gotten is YOU, Mom! I got you on my very first birthday."
Wow. I wasn't prepared for that. Amazing.
