Well, we've joined up with Mama and Papa now! They flew into San Antonio Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed a dinner on the RiverWalk with them, and then took a boat tour along the river. It was a warm evening, but we really enjoyed it. The RiverWalk is so beautiful, but maybe next time we won't visit in July. :)
On Sunday, we went to Sea World, and although it was a hot, humid day, we really had a great time. We saw all the shows we wanted to see and rode the rides we wanted to ride... Matthew road the "Thunder River" like ride, and all 4 of us rode the log ride! Matthew and Maddie were so excited, and Matthew was so thrilled about liking his rides. :) Matthew even jumped up as a kid volunteer (which really included all the kids that wanted to) in the ski show - he went to the front and danced!!! He was so excited and so proud... and so was I!!! Two special highlights: Matthew and Maddie fed and touched some dolphins AND Matthew, Jeff and I held a 50lb burmese python!!! He was soooo excited about that! We couldn't get a picture unfortunately, but it is etched in my mind for sure. :)
Right now we are in Wichita Falls, Texas. We had an incredible steak dinner at the neatest local place, and then we checked out the falls. I didn't realize they were man-made! They were very pretty, but that sort of takes some of the awe away. Now the kids and Dante are sleeping, and gearing up for another day of driving as we get closer to Colorado! Maddie and Matthew are so excited about seeing their cousins in Grand Junction... we're all excited!!!
