Welcome!!

My photo
Hi! We are the Plunks: Jennifer, Jeff, Matthew and Maddie! Welcome to our blog. I started this blog to chronicle our service dog adventure, but it has evolved into a place for me to jot down my thoughts... about autism, parenting, family, working, but mostly about celebrating life and the God who gifted us with it. Enjoy the ride!

A Magical (albeit WET) Day of Discovery at Epcot

Thanks to Tropical Storm Debby, we waded our way through Epcot today... but the wetness didn't slow us down! We wore our ponchos and pounded the puddly pavement with smiles. The rain did not stop once until we were leaving at 5:30, but within minutes it picked back up again. We road our favorite rides, all except for Test Track - it was closed for remodeling (but it would've been closed anyway from the rain). We road Soarin' four times, Mission Space, The Norway Viking boat ride (Maelstrom) twice, Figment, Spaceship Earth, and we of course ATE in the countries. We had lunch in Mexico in the pyramid that feels like your outside (oh, and we road the Mexican boat ride twice... it went right beside the restaurant tables!), and of course Jeff and I ate dessert in France. YUM. The kids? They chose a funnel cake from the good ol' USA. It was a Magical Day of Discovery for sure. We used our better judgement and decided NOT to stay for the light show so that we could get on the road for our two our drive to our hotel. We're stopping about an hour from Ft. Lauderdale so that we don't have to make that whole drive AND get to the airport in the morning. We have an 8:30 flight to St. John (well, to Puerto Rico then to St. Thomas with a ferry to St. John.) :-)
