| From Matthew is NINE! |
I can't believe Matthew is NINE!! In his words, he had "an AWESOME birthday weekend." On Friday, we had cupcakes at school with his class, and then after school we took Matthew and a friend to see Monster's Versus Aliens in 3D. We all had a blast! Then we all went to Pizza Hut, where Gram joined us. We were so excited that Matthew wanted to take a friend to the movie, and they both seemed to have a great time. He and Isaac have become buddies at school; in fact, when it came up that Matthew might invite a friend to join us, they had a feeling that's who he would choose. :)
Saturday we had a birthday dinner with our friends the Vernons. Matthew LOVED opening his presents, and even though he didn't get a new Wii game, he seemed QUITE pleased with everything. :) His favorites were the Fernbank membership from Gram, the Lionel train stuff he bought with the money Mama and Papa gave him, and the Wall-E rocket shooter from Maddie. He also liked his license plate game, Magic Tree House books, Leapster game, Narnia Prince Caspian movie and bank. We gave him some Mario Kart Wii pajamas, which he loved and went as far as to say they were NOT "good for nothing clothes" like the ones he got at Christmas.
Each birthday gets better and better... he enjoyed and anticipated this one more than any yet. He told me today that he would always be "my little boy"... because he loves me. :)
